Connect Slack or Microsoft Teams

Install the MetriCRM app in your Slack workspace or Microsoft organisation, choose what it may do and which notifications go to which channel.

For: Admins

Steps

  1. 1Go to Settings → Slack & Teams. If a card says Not set up, the app is not available for your workspace yet.
  2. 2For Slack, select Add to Slack and approve the app in your Slack workspace. For Microsoft Teams, select Connect Microsoft Teams and sign in with a work account of your organisation; your Teams admin then adds the MetriCRM app in Teams.
  3. 3Choose the app settings: link previews (rich for people allowed to see the record, minimal, or off), whether people may ask the copilot, and whether they may create cases. Select Save.
  4. 4Invite the MetriCRM app to the Slack channels it should post in, then select Refresh channels. In Teams, add the app to a team; its channel appears on the page.
  5. 5For each channel, tick the notifications it should get — assignments, SLA risk, approvals, waiting chats and queues, customer health drops — and select Save channel.

Good to know

  • One Slack workspace or Microsoft organisation can be connected to one MetriCRM workspace only.
  • Channel posts show the notification's title, so route only what everyone in the channel may see. Chat message previews are never sent.
  • Buttons and commands always act as the person who used them, with their own MetriCRM permissions, and are recorded in the audit log.
  • Disconnect removes everyone's links and channel rules; for Slack it also removes the app from your Slack workspace.
