Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar storage MetriCRM uses.

Last updated October 4, 2026

This document is available in English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese. The English version is the most accurate version and prevails if there is any inconsistency.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies such as browser local storage work in the same way. This policy explains which ones MetriCRM uses and why.

2. Essential cookies only

MetriCRM uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for, such as keeping you signed in securely and remembering your language. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertisers to set cookies on our site. Because these cookies are essential, they are set without asking for consent; our cookie notice tells you about them.

3. Cookies we set

  • NEXT_LOCALE — remembers your chosen language. Expires after 1 year.
  • mc.session — keeps you signed in to your workspace securely. Ends when you sign out, after 8 hours without activity, or after 30 days at most (your administrator may set shorter limits).
  • mc.platform — the equivalent session cookie for MetriCRM platform staff.
  • mc.2fa and mc.ticket — protect the two-factor sign-in steps. Expire after 10 minutes or less.
  • mc.device — remembers a device you chose to trust for two-factor sign-in. Expires after 30 days.

4. Local storage

We store a few interface preferences in your browser, not in cookies: that you have dismissed the cookie notice, whether the sidebar is collapsed, and that you already rated a knowledge base article. They never leave your browser and you can clear them at any time.

5. Third parties

When you pay, Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to prevent fraud; they are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Our error monitoring does not use cookies.

6. Emails from our customers

Organisations that use MetriCRM may turn on open and click tracking for their email broadcasts. This is off by default and controlled by that organisation. Every broadcast includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

7. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in, and your language choice will not be remembered.

8. Changes and contact

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. Questions can be sent to our data protection officer at dpo@webbalances.com.
