Restore, retain and export your data

Bring back records deleted in the last 30 days, decide how long the workspace keeps notifications, AI text, message bodies and the audit log, and download everything in one file.

For: Workspace admins

Steps

  1. 1Open Settings → Retention & trash.
  2. 2Under Trash, pick a record type to see what was deleted in the last 30 days, and select Restore to put a record back.
  3. 3Under Retention, choose how long to keep each kind of data, or Keep. Records always stay; only the content listed is cleared, overnight.
  4. 4Under Export all data, select Request export. You get a notification when the ZIP is ready; download it within 7 days.

Good to know

  • Minimums protect you: 30 days for notifications and AI text, 90 days for message bodies, 1 year for the audit log.
  • The export never includes passwords, keys or tokens; attachments are listed and can be downloaded from the app.
  • Only the person who asked for an export can download it, and every download is audited.
