Invoices and payments
Raise an invoice, send it, record full or part payments with receipts, and let reminders chase what's overdue.
For: Sales reps and financeSteps
- Create an invoice from a sales order (Create invoice) or from Sales → Invoices → New invoice. Edit lines, issue date, payment terms and language while it is a draft.
- Select Send invoice to email the PDF from your sales mailbox with a link where the customer can view it, download receipts and pay. Or select Mark as sent if you hand it over another way.
- When money comes in, select Record payment: amount, method, date and reference. A receipt number (RC-…) is issued and you can email the receipt.
- Part payments leave the invoice Partially paid with the balance shown; it becomes Paid when the balance reaches zero.
- Open invoices past their due date show Overdue. Reminders go out automatically before and after the due date, and you can select Send reminder at any time.
- A payment entered by mistake can be voided with a reason; the invoice balance reopens. An invoice without payments can be voided.
Good to know
- Set reminder days and the payment methods you accept in Settings → Sales.
- Connect your own Stripe account in Settings → Sales to let customers pay online by card or FPX.
