Contracts and support entitlements
Turn an accepted quotation into a contract, get it signed, amend it as versions and add the support your customer has paid for.
For: Sales reps, sales managers and support managersSteps
- On an accepted quotation select Create contract, or go to Sales → Contracts → New contract. Lines, value, customer and terms carry over from the quotation; the contract starts as a draft numbered CT-YYYY-NNNN.
- While it is a draft, set the start and end dates, notice period, auto-renew and lines, then select Save draft.
- Upload the contract PDF under Documents and select Request signature to send it for built-in e-signature. It shows Pending signature until everyone has signed, then becomes Active. A manager can also select Activate for a contract signed on paper.
- Under Support entitlements select Add entitlement: the channels covered, support hours (a business-hours calendar), the SLA policy and how many cases are included per month, quarter, year or term.
- To change an active contract, select Amend contract, edit it and give a reason. Each amendment becomes a new version listed under Amendments with what changed.
- Contracts show Expiring inside their notice period and Expired after the end date; auto-renewing contracts roll on by their renewal term. A manager can select Terminate with a reason.
Good to know
- The account page lists the customer's contracts and subscriptions.
- Select Start subscription on a contract to bill its lines every period.
