Your day in the technician app
Open My day on your phone: the AI briefing, today's jobs with times and addresses, navigation, and working with a weak signal.
For: TechniciansSteps
- On your phone, open MetriCRM and go to MetriField → My day. There is nothing to install; you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu.
- At the top you see the date, how many jobs you have and the AI briefing: the order of your visits, which ones are urgent or close to their SLA, tight customer windows and what to bring. It is built from job facts only — never customer names, addresses or notes — and is labelled AI-generated.
- Each job shows its time, status, priority, number, customer and address. Select Navigate to open the address in your maps app, or Call to phone the customer. Jobs carried over from an earlier day are marked.
- Select Open (or the job's title) to work on it. Select My day to go back to the list.
- The bar under the greeting shows whether you are online and whether everything is saved. Without a signal you keep seeing today's jobs and can keep working: your updates wait on the phone and are sent in order when you are back online.
- If the office changed a job while you were offline (for example it was put on hold), the office's version wins. A red box lists what was not applied and why; select the cross to dismiss it.
Good to know
- Open My day once while you have a signal at the start of the day so the jobs are saved on the phone.
- Signing out removes the saved copy and any unsent updates from the phone — send them first.
- Record my approximate location is off unless you switch it on yourself; see Check in, record the job and get the customer's signature.
- The briefing is created once a day; Refresh asks again (at most every 10 minutes).
