Set up preventive maintenance
Reusable checklists, and plans on contracts that create a work order before each visit.

- Go to MetriField → Checklists and select New template. Name it (for example Aircond servicing), add the items and mark the required ones.
- Open the customer's contract in MetriSales → Contracts and select Add plan under Maintenance plans.
- Enter the work order title, the asset or location, how often (every N weeks or months), the next visit date and how many days before each visit the work order is created.
- Choose the priority, required skills and checklist template, and select Save plan.
- If the next visit is inside the lead window, its work order is created at once; later ones are created automatically, once per visit.
Good to know
- Plans only create work orders while the contract is in force; a draft contract waits until it is activated.
- A plan switches itself off when the next visit falls after the contract's end date or the contract is terminated.
- Editing a template never changes work orders that already have its items.
- An asset's page lists its maintenance plans and the next visit.
