User Guide › MetriChat

Connect social accounts

Add Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, X, LinkedIn Pages, TikTok and YouTube so the team can post to them.

For: Administrators

Steps

  1. 1Open MetriChat → Social → Accounts.
  2. 2Select the network's button (for example Facebook & Instagram) and sign in with an account that manages the Page or channel. Approve the permissions the network asks for.
  3. 3Back in MetriCRM, tick the Pages and accounts this login can post to and select Add. Facebook also lists the Instagram business accounts linked to your Pages.
  4. 4No sign-in button for a network? Add your own developer app under Use your own developer app (register the address shown there as the redirect URL), or paste an access token, such as a Page token from Meta's Graph API Explorer.
  5. 5When an account shows Reconnect needed, sign in again: the token was revoked or expired.

Good to know

  • Tokens are stored encrypted and never shown again.
  • TikTok and YouTube keep posts private until the network approves the app. Once it has, tick App approved by the network on the account.
  • Posts need approval by default; turn this off at the bottom of the Accounts tab.
