Accept FPX and DuitNow payments
Connect your own Billplz (or Stripe) account so customers pay invoices and quotations online, with receipts and e-invoices handled for you.
For: Admins and financeSteps
- In Billplz, open Settings → Keys & Integration. Copy your API secret key, turn on X Signature and copy the X Signature key. Note the ID of the collection your bills should go into.
- In MetriCRM go to Settings → Payment gateways. On the Billplz card paste the API secret key, collection ID and X Signature key, tick “Use the Billplz sandbox” while you test, and select Connect. MetriCRM checks the key and collection with Billplz; the keys are encrypted and never shown again.
- Optionally enter a DuitNow QR gateway code from Billplz's payment gateway list so “Pay with DuitNow QR” opens the QR straight away. Without it customers choose FPX or DuitNow on the Billplz page.
- Using Stripe instead or as well? Paste a secret or restricted key on the Stripe card. Turn on FPX in your Stripe dashboard, and add the webhook endpoint shown on the card with its signing secret so payments are confirmed even if the customer closes the browser. Choose which gateway is the default.
- Under Payment links choose what customers see: “Pay online” on invoices, “Pay now” on accepted quotations, the “Scan to pay” QR on the PDF and customer page, automatic receipts, part payments, and whether the e-invoice goes to MyInvois once an invoice is fully paid.
- Send an invoice as usual. The customer opens the link (or scans the QR on the PDF), picks FPX or DuitNow QR and pays on Billplz.
- When the payment arrives, MetriCRM checks the gateway's signature, records the payment on the invoice with a receipt number, marks the invoice part paid or paid and emails the receipt. The invoice owner gets a notification and the card shows the time of the last gateway event.
Good to know
- Your customers pay your own gateway account — MetriCRM never holds the money.
- Gateways send the same notification more than once; MetriCRM records each payment only once and ignores callbacks with a wrong signature.
- Automatic MyInvois submission runs as the person who switched it on, needs e-invoicing to be set up and is recorded in the audit log. Buyers without a TIN stay in the monthly consolidated e-invoice.
- Switch the sandbox off only after a test payment reaches an invoice — live payments move real money.
