Sales orders and fulfilment

Turn an accepted quotation into a sales order and track it through your fulfilment stages.

For: Sales reps and operations teams

Steps

  1. 1When a customer accepts a quotation online, a sales order (SO-…) is created automatically with the quotation's lines. You can also open an accepted quotation and select Create sales order.
  2. 2Open Sales → Orders to see open orders, the stage each one is in and who has it.
  3. 3If a fulfilment workflow applies to orders, the order starts at its first stage and is assigned to someone in that stage's team.
  4. 4Whoever has the stage ticks its checklist, fills in any required fields and selects Escalate to … — the order moves on and the next team's member is picked automatically.
  5. 5When the order reaches the last stage it is marked Fulfilled. Every move is kept in the stage history.
  6. 6Select Create invoice to bill the order. Cancel order is available until the order has an invoice.

Good to know

  • Switch automatic orders off in Settings → Sales if you prefer to create them by hand.
  • Team members see the orders sitting with their team even if they only see their own records elsewhere.
