Connect 3CX

Link your 3CX phone system for caller lookup, click-to-dial and call logging.

For: Workspace admins

Steps

  1. 1In 3CX Admin Console → Integrations → API, select Add. Give the client an ID (for example crm-dialer), tick 3CX Call Control API Access and save. Copy the API key — 3CX shows it once.
  2. 2In MetriCRM open Settings → Telephony. Enter your 3CX address (https://…), the client ID and the API key, then select Save and Test connection.
  3. 3Under Extensions, type each person's 3CX extension and select Save extensions.
  4. 4Under Caller lookup and call journal, select Download template (XML), then Create lookup key and copy the key.
  5. 5In 3CX Admin Console → Integrations → CRM, choose Add template, upload the file, select MetriCRM and paste the lookup key into API key. Use 3CX's Test button with a customer's number to check it.

Good to know

  • Click-to-dial needs a 3CX licence that includes the Call Control API (8SC+).
  • Creating a new lookup key stops the old one at once — paste the new key into 3CX straight away.
  • The 3CX address must be reachable from the internet over HTTPS; internal addresses are refused.
